With over 20 years of experience in maternal health nursing, Ameenah Rashid has built a distinguished career in hospital leadership, higher education administration, and international program planning. She has designed and led study abroad initiatives for Healthcare professionals and HBCU students across healthcare and various other disciplines, fostering transformative learning experiences.

 

As the founder and executive director of A Mother’s Intuition, a maternal health consultancy, Ameenah is dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes for women in the U.S. and abroad. She has cultivated strategic partnerships with service organizations in Ghana to advance maternal and women’s health initiatives.

 

Ameenah’s passion for global collaboration extends to her support of ICAND Caribbean Social Work, championing opportunities for students of the African diaspora to explore the continent and the world. She is a firm believer in the power of travel, stating, “Travel opens us to the world of what more is possible.”
