Darlene E. Jackson

Darlene E. Jackson

President 

E. Darlene Jackson is a retired educator with thirty-two years of total experience. Darlene is a graduate of Valdosta State University, with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Special Education and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.  

 

Darlene taught Special Education, served as a Middle School Administrator, served as the Single Parents/Displaced Homemakers Coordinator at Valdosta Technical College  and taught at a Maximum Security Mental Health Correctional Facility.  

 

Darlene has also served as the Special Program/504 Coordinator for her schools, served as District Hearing Officer, School-Level Testing Coordinator and School-Level Instruction Coordinator.  Darlene enjoys advocating for students and families to make sure that each child's academic, social, mental, and emotional needs are met. 

Stephanie Adams

Retired CW4 Stephanie Adams

Vice President 

Retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4) Stephanie Adams is a distinguished military leader and dedicated public servant. As Vice President of the Board of Directors, Stephanie brings her exceptional leadership skills, strategic vision, and passion for community service to support the organization's mission and vision. With over 30 years of military service, Stephanie's impressive career includes numerous leadership positions, deployments, and awards.

 

Her military expertise spans aviation, logistics, and personnel management. Stephanie's distinguished service earned her numerous awards, including Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Joint Service Commendation Medal. After retiring from military service, Stephanie continued her commitment to public service. She has worked with various organizations focused on veterans' affairs, education, and community development.

 

Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from University of Maryland As Vice President of the Board of Directors, Stephanie is dedicated to leveraging her leadership expertise and passion for community service to support the organization's mission and vision. Her commitment to excellence, integrity, and service will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on our organization.​

Olga Pittman

Olga Pittman

Secretary 

Olga Pittman is a dedicated and accomplished professional with a passion for community development and social justice. As Secretary of the Board of Directors, Olga brings her expertise in governance, leadership, and strategic planning to support the organization's mission and vision.

With over 45 years of experience in the youth non-profit sector, Olga has worked with various organizations focused on youth education, healthcare, and community empowerment. Her expertise includes program development, grant writing, and community engagement.

 

Olga holds a Master’s degree in Sports Administration, BS in Sociology, Certified Life Coach for Justice Involved Individuals from Morehouse School of Medicine. 

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Olga is a proud daughter and an active member of her community. She serves on several boards and committees focused on education, youth healthcare, and community development. 

 

As Secretary of the Board of Directors, Olga is committed to supporting the organization's mission and vision, while promoting transparency, accountability, and excellence in governance.

Danna M. Doughty

Danna M. Doughty

Treasurer

Danna M. Doughty is from New Orleans La, has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Criminal Justice, both obtained from Southern University, she is the author of the up and coming book titled “ Leave Your Pants at The Door”. Danna is currently employed at Charbonnet Funeral Home as a Funeral Director (Apprentice).

 

Danna has over 7 years of Financial experience earned at the New OrleansCoroner’s Office. & 5 years of Grief Counseling. Danna also has a Limited Life Health & Accident insurance license.  Danna is a member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors association and soon to be a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner.  Danna enjoys reading, and assisting families with their emotional and mental needs.

Candince McMillian

Candince McMillian, MA

Sargent-At-Arms

Candince McMillian serves as the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Board of Directors at ICANDCARIBBEANSOCIALWORK. In this role, she is responsible for maintaining order and decorum during board meetings, as well as ensuring the smooth execution of board business.

 

A proud alumna of Sweet Briar College, Candince, holds an MA from Tulane University in Philosophy. She is a licensed contractor/developer. Her company builds & remodels residential and commercial structures. With her strong business and academic foundation, Candince brings extensive expertise in leadership, entrepreneurship, community engagement, and social responsibility to her role. Her valuable experience and skills have been instrumental in driving ICANDCARIBBEANSOCIALWORK's mission forward.
